Kambo Martial Atse ( Université Félix Houphouet-Boigny Abidjan Cocody, Ivory Coast)

Kambo Martial Atse is a PhD student at the Felix Houphouët-Boigny University of Abidjan-Cocody in Ivory Coast and a Ph.D. Student at the Institut de Gouvernance et d’Intégration Régionale de l’Université Panafricaine (PAUGHSS) in Yaoundé, Cameroon (Université Yaoundé II Soa qui héberge l’Institut de l’Université Panafricaine).

Since March 2022, he is the coordinator of the Pan-African Think Tank called Réseau Africain des Jeunes Chercheur (RAJeC), which includes 35 African countries and more than 400 members.

Sonia Maria Barbosa (Harvard University, USA)

Sonia Barbosa is the Data Curation Manager for the Harvard Dataverse, and the Murray Archive Research Manager. Her responsibilities include initiating data dissemination and acquisition for the Harvard Dataverse and promoting the use and benefits of the Dataverse software and the Harvard Repository. Sonia leads trainings on the Dataverse software, and provides curation support and guidance.
Sonia connects and coordinates interactions between researchers and Dataverse and Research Computing producers at Harvard to learn more about the needs of the research community and provide feedback on the Dataverse features.
Sonia also manages the data in the Murray Archive, a social science data archive that contains longitudinal data on women's lives. She is responsible for curating the collection, preserving data related to the archive, and processing and disseminating the data.
She holds a BA from College of the Holy Cross, 1995, and a BSN from Simmons College, 2009.

Kalpana Chaudhari (Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, Mumbai, Inde)

Dr. Kalpana Chaudhari is an engineer and works as Vice President of the Institute for Sustainable Development and Research, ISDR, India, an organization in consultative status with the United Nations, Economic and Social Council, UN-ECOSOC,  UN-Habitat, UN-Environment, UNFCCC, UNCTAD, UN-Ffd, UN-WCDR, GEF,  UNCCD. Her research work included interdisciplinary topics such as e-governance, information and communication technologies and their applications in global environmental change and socio-economic and sustainable development. She also works as an Assistant Professor at Shah and Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, affiliated to the University of Mumbai. She has organized and participated in several programs on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the Asia Pacific region.

Yared Ergu Abera (University Data & Software Carpentry, Ethiopie)

Yared Ergu has been a associate professor in computer science for over 10 years and is the Dean of the School of Technology and Computer Science at Ambo University - Waliso Campus.

He is a member of the Instructor Develpment Committee (IDC), Library Carpentry and an active member of Ethiopian Carpentries Team, an organization that works on data curation training, and research software. His main research interests include natural language processing, machine learning, deep learning and data analytics, open data, open science, and citizen science.

Yared had the opportunity to present his results and trends in open data and citizen science projects at an international conference held in Livingstone, Zambia via Ubuntu-Net Connect 2021 and to be a speaker at Datacite Events in 2022.

Marie-Claude Deboin (Cirad, director of scientific and technical information service France)

Marie-Claude has a dual scientific (Masters in organism and population biology) and technical (postgraduate diploma in technology and information management) background, and has been CIRAD's Scientific and Technical Information Officer since 2007. Her job is to propose elements of strategy and institutional policy on scientific and technical information (STI) to CIRAD's management; to design the multi-year roadmap for the STI delegation (Dist); and to report on the results obtained in terms of acquisition, dissemination and analysis of scientific production, as well as in terms of valorization of research data in internal and collaborative projects.

Marie-Claude is the author of several didactic sheets on the CIRAD CoopIST .

Akwasi Bosompem Boateng (University of Education, Winneba, Ghana)

 

Dr. Akwasi Bosompem Boateng is a Lecturer at the School of Communication and Media Studies, University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. He did his Postdoctoral Fellowship at the School of Communication Studies, North-West University, South Africa before joining the University of Education, Winneba. Dr. Boateng received his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cultural and Media Studies from University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in International Studies from Rhodes University. Akwasi had his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Administration; Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education; and Master of Arts (MA) degrees from University of Education, Winneba. He has received awards and grants from various institutions for research and conferences. Dr. Boateng publishes and reviews articles in journals and books. He is member of several academic and professional bodies including the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA), French Institute for Research in Africa (IFRA), Nigeria, African Studies Centre in Leiden (ASCL), Collaborative Research Group African History, Leiden, Africa Network of Researchers on Inequality in Science (ANRIS), Communication Educators Association of Ghana (CEAG) and University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG). He has consulted and taught courses in communication and media studies in universities in South Africa and Ghana.

Vincent Namrona (Université Côte d’Azur, France)

Vincent Namrona is an expert in media management and a research officer in information and communication sciences at the TransitionS Laboratory , Côte d'Azur University, Nice (France).

After serving from 2009 to 2017 as head of the administration department at the Regulatory authority for electronic communications and postal services in Bangui (Central African Republic), he has been, since 2017, general rapporteur of the High Council for Communication in Bangui (Central African Republic). 

Grand Officer in the Central African National Order of Merit, he also obtained the title of Cravate de commandeur in the Central African National Order of Merit and received the Silver Medal with Palms in the National Order of Labor.

Caroline Doucouré (IRD, Scientific and Technical Information Service, France)

Caroline Doucouré is a member of the "Data" team of the IRD's Scientific and Technical Information Service, which supports IRD scientists and their partners in research data management. In particular, she participated in the creation of the data repository Datasuds, inaugurated in 2019. She organizes training sessions on research data.

In addition, she leads the IRD DMP multi-service working group that supports scientists in writing their data management plans.

Hanka Hensens (IRD, Scientific and Technical Information Service, France)

Member of the research data team of the IRD Scientific and Technical Information Service, webmaster of the IRD Data website, she supports scientists in writing data management plans and organizes training sessions on data since 2016. She is also in charge of the IRD library in Montpellier.

Mamadou Diallo (IRD, France)

 Mamadou Diallo is an epidemiologist immunologist (PhD in immunology, Master of Science in epidemiology) from Central South University in China and Laval University in Quebec.

Since 2020, he is coordinator of the operational research group and leads the IRD/WHO COVID platform for the scientific response to the COVID-19 pandemic for West and Central Africa. He is also the regional coordinator and training manager of the Ace Partner project at IRD.

Eustache Megnigbeto (Université d’Abomey-Calavi Bénin)

Eustache Mêgnigbeto holds in 2016 a Ph.D. in Information and Library Science from the University of Antwerp (Belgium). He is the coordinator of the training in scientific and technical information at the National School of Administration (Abomey-Calavi University, Bénin).

Jean Gantin Tchougbé (Université d’Abomey-Calavi Bénin)

Jean Gantin Tchougbé is assistant director of the library at the Abomey-Calavi  university and interim coordinator of the training center for information careers of the National School of Administration and Magistracy of Abomey-Calavi. He is also director of the center of the francophone information publishing system for higher education and research of the  Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie and the Francophone Digital Campus in Cotonou

He is also the project manager of the Initiative francophone pour la formation à distance des maîtres de l’enseignement maternel et primaire (www.ifadem.org) of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) and the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF).

Pascal Aventurier (IRD, France) : leader of the scientific committee 

Pascal holds a DEA in information sciences from the University of Grenoble II and a master's degree in mathematics applied to social sciences from the Sorbonne University in Paris. He is in charge of the scientific information department of the IRD which counts 15 people and implements the open science policy regarding publications and research data. He is also the coordinator of the ANR Bridge project (Bridge Research through Interoperable Data Governance and Environments 2019-2022). He is open science expert for Knowledge Exchange and REISO of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. In Brazil, he participates in the DRIADE network research group on digital data preservation and archiving - IBICT (Brasilia) and in the CINDLAB network (open science and science with and for society). Finally, he has been teaching research data management since 2013 at the University of Montpellier and at other institutions.

Gwenaël Doux (Cirad, France)

Gwenaël Doux is a computer engineer in Information Sciences at CIRAD. He holds a master's degree in Information Sciences from ENSSIB-Lyon 1, France (2006). After working for ten years in IT development and project management assistance in information systems, he joined CIRAD in 2021 and is in charge of the CIRAD Dataverse research data repository.

Céline Barthélemy (Cirad, France)

With a background in the humanities, Céline Barthélemy has worked as a librarian and archivist in various research institutes and universities. Her interest in digital archiving led her to research data. She is now a information specialist at CIRAD, where she is in charge of supporting and training researchers in the management, valorization and,  dissemination of their research data.
